I just finished watching August Rush so now I'm feeling all inspired to practice but before I do, I though I'd hit you with a quick update. Psalm Fresh just finished it's Connecticut tour and it went really well. We performed in Manchester, Middletown, and Hartford in a variety of settings. All of them were memorable for different reasons. Performing for the all-male Connecticut Juvenile Training School (detention center) in Middletown was very rewarding because we all felt we had made a positive impact on the students there. When they first walked in and saw us they were baffled. They looked at us like, "What the...!" After a couple of pieces and a killin' freestyle by SaulPaul they were all about it. That then opened the door to share some words of wisdom from the heart without being "preachy."

The Musical Dialogues concert at the Church of the Good Shepherd was a great way to end the tour. We had a blast and the audience was great. By the end of the concert we had a predominantly "classical" audience doing the "shoulder lean" and "chunkin' the deuce." Too cool! We also performed on Krazy Faith Radio and for the students of Manchester High School. Check back soon for new group pictures and videos. I'm really excited to see what God's going to do through this group. Each person brings something uniquely excellent to the table which makes the possibilities seem endless. Many thanks to Dan Trahey and the Hartford Symphony for hosting us and making us feel welcome. Holla!
